Crispy Prawn Tempura Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
500g prawns, shelled, tails intact
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon sugar
For the Batter:
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup flour, sifted
¼ cup water
1 tablespoon cooking oil
Crushed cornflakes
Cooking oil for frying
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Marinate shrimp with sugar, pepper, for at least 15 minutes.
2. Prepare batter by mixing flour and baking powder.
3. Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in oil gradually. Gradually add water
and mix to a smooth batter.
4. Heat cooking oil for frying.
5. Dip prepared prawns in batter and coat well with crushed Cornflakes.
6. Deep-fry until golden brown.
7. Serve with chili sauce on the side.
